Yelena Strickland, LMHC

About Yelena Strickland

Yelena Strickland joined PCHS in 2020 and was originally from Russia. She got her bachelor’s degree in medical psychology in St. Petersburg State University in 1997. Upon moving to America, she earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from California State University in 2006. Her previous experience includes working in outpatient community mental health clinics as a counselor and intake specialist. Yelena has been working in the mental health field since 2015 and uses a variety of approaches when working with clients, using mostly humanistic and cognitive-behavioral perspectives.

She is a dedicated behavioral health professional and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). Known for her respectful approach to client relationships, Yelena's practice is driven by core values of honesty, hard work, and empathy. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys painting, hiking, and spending quality time with her family. If given the chance, she would love to be traveling across Europe, exploring new places. Yelena believes that "something is always better than nothing," a philosophy that follows her commitment to making meaningful progress with her clients.
